From singing down the local to reaching the finals on The Voice UK and entertaining thousands of fans on arguably the world’s biggest musical stage, Becky Hill is the immensely talented, chart dominating vocal superstar that, unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past decade, you should already be more than aware of.

Born on February 14th 1994 in Bewdley, Worcestershire, the budding singer began pursuing a career in music at a young age, gaining her first taste of performing live as the leading vocalist for a then local acoustic rock act, Shaking Tree’s. The group toured pubs and venues, played at a handful of small festivals and even enjoyed some success, receiving airtime on BBC Radio, but it wasn’t until Hill decided to go solo that things really began to take off.

In 2012, the now 26-year-old auditioned on ITV’s singing talent show, The Voice making it all the way to the semi-finals before unfortunately being eliminated. Hill, however, had made a lasting impression becoming a favourite not only amongst the regular 9 million viewers of the international hit show, but with some of the most respected names within dance music.

The soulful, expressive and sultry tone of the singer’s voice had caught the attention of none other than drum n bass heavyweight Wilkinson (one of our many other headliners at Highest Point 2021). Together, they released what would be Hill’s first recorded collaborative effort, 2013’s award nominated, chart breaking single ‘Afterglow’.

What then followed was a second impressive and very successful partnership with yet another household name within the British drum n bass scene – Rudimental (who you can also expect to see on stage at Highest Point 2021. Now we’re just bragging). The single ‘Powerless’ was also released in 2013 and was a hefty addition to the London bass collective’s mercury prize nominated, album chart topping debut – ‘Home’. Hill would later go on to perform alongside Rudimental at Glastonbury that same year.

She has since signed to major label Polydor Records, collaborating further with a host of celebrated names such as MNEK, Jonas Blue, rapper Little Simz and Dutch EDM Legend Oliver Heldens, with whom she produced her first number one single ‘Gecko (Overdrive)’. Hill is the first contestant ever from the show to have attained the top spot of the UK charts.

2019 saw the singer once again breaking into the top ten with pop banger ‘Wish You Well’, a track which featured production from London based house producer and DJ Sigala. She is currently focusing on preparing her debut solo album, as yet an unnamed record due out next year, from which she has recently released self-proclaimed dance floor ballad – ‘Space’.

Don’t miss your chance to see this show-stopping vocalist performing her many hits at Highest Point 2021.
