Jess Bays has been on quite the rise in the last few years. Her DJ sets have been known to traverse a whole range of sounds throughout the decades from 70’s disco to 80’s groove and 90’s garage. Her sound has been attributed as deeper House for a new generation.
She has had a residency at XOYO for Sneak, is a regular as Ministry Of Sound and has played a number of times at Studio 338 to a packed out terrace. She’s also spent time supporting some of the biggest names in dance music such as Hannah Wants and Annie Mac.
Within her rise, Jess has had releases on Stress Records, Armada and Good Company alongside remixing tracks for the likes of Rudimental. With heavy support coming from radio shows she’s also taken to picking up hosting duties herself on Clash Magazine’s monthly Rinse FM shows.
She’s also become a resident for Defected and that has taken her all across the world playing shows in Ibiza, Croatia and Brazil as well as legendary events like The Warehouse Project. There can be no real surprise that DJ mag tipped her as ‘One To Watch’.
Her keen eye for spotting talent and great tunes has come in handy as she joined Sam Divine’s label D-Vine Sounds as an A&R. Getting to work with a legend and allowing her to preside over the next generation of talent. This is an artist who still has a lot to give.
Her portfolio expands year on year and she’s started to take on more headline slots and is becoming an increasingly exciting name. You can catch Jess Bays performing at Highest Point on Friday 3rd September.
