Recently Lucy Blue has swapped out Dublin for London, a place that she found inspired her so she found herself staying. A singer, songwriter and producer, Lucy grew up going through the pages of Thrasher Magazine and watching Harmony Korine films.
Like many Gen Z artists, she has an eclectic range of influences across a few different genres, from classic songwriters such as Joni Mitchell and PJ Harvey, to pop and R&B artists such as Gwen Stefani and Frank Ocean.
Out of all these different voices, she is carving out her own sound that lands somewhere between pop and R&B with the potential to go anywhere. Her debut EP ‘Fishbowl’ had a standout track in ‘See You Later’, a cinematic, intimate and deeply emotional single. Lucy Blue’s latest single ‘Taxi Driver’ sets out the stall for just how exciting she is, with endless potential we can’t wait to hear more.
Don’t miss your chance to see this rising talent at Highest Point festival this year.
