Welcome to Williamson Park in Lancaster – home to the iconic Ashton Memorial and 54 acres of beautiful parkland with enchanting woodland walks, play areas and breathtaking views to the Fylde Coast, Morecambe Bay and the Lake District. The park features a cafe and shop, Butterfly House (formerly a tropical palm house), and resident meerkats, mini beasts and birds


By Car

To reach Williamson Park by car: leave the M6 at junction 33 or 34 and follow the signs for Lancaster City Centre. Once in the city follow tourist information signs for ‘Ashton Memorial’ or ‘Butterfly House’.

There are two pay and display car parks in Williamson Park – both of these will be closed for the event. Highest Point has it’s own car park facility just a short walk from our main entrance at NW Auction Mart, Wyresdale Rd, Lancaster LA1 3JQ. This is £5 per day open from 8.30am each day (3pm Friday)

By Bus

The number 18 bus leaves Lancaster bus station, calls at Common Garden Street, then stops at the park entrance on Wyresdale Road.
