Utah Saints need no introduction to any dance fan. As one of the most influential and pioneering acts at this year’s Highest Point Festival, the Leeds-based dance band have left an undeniable impact on the landscape, with hits like ‘Something Good’ and ‘What Can You Do For Me’ becoming genre classics.
Formed in the late 1980s in West Yorkshire by dance promoters and DJs Jez Willis and Tim Garbutt, the group were early pioneers of bringing sample technology to dance music. By mixing mainstream pop and dance samples with contrasting dance beats, the Utah Saints’ signature style made them household names overnight.
Through their club nights, record labels and sparse release schedule, the group have amassed quite the following, and their DJ set is one of the most anticipated at Highest Point 2024.
